Uyghur American Cup 2015

In 2014, subsequent to Uyghur United FC's participation in the World Uyghur Cup held in Kayseri, Türkiye, the players, under the leadership of Arafat Dilshat Abdukadir, who served as the captain of Uyghur United FC, recognized the latent potential for instituting an annual Uyghur American Cup within the North American domain. This visionary initiative aimed to establish a recurring opportunity for Uyghur youth convergence, fostering both competitive engagement and interpersonal camaraderie on an annual basis.

The idea transpired in 2014 and subsequently crystallized into a tangible reality in June of 2015 in the locale of Virginia, USA. The inaugural iteration of the Uyghur American Cup witnessed the collective participation of teams hailing from diverse regions, including Los Angeles, Toronto, Boston, and Virginia. This inaugural confluence marked the inception of a captivating sporting competition, one that has endured annually, except in the year 2020, characterized by the global pandemic.
